eop-Pop-Up @OpenCave a Rotlich Festival Partner Event

In 2025, the association eop (Emergence of Projects) will host a pop-up exhibition at OpenCave under the dual theme “Life After Extinction” and “Cave Painting.” More than 20 artists explore how cave painting can be reimagined today, employing analog photographic techniques such as the enduring cyanotype, designed to outlast generations. Central questions arise: What should survive us? What truly matters? What are we searching for? The approaches could hardly be more diverse. Curated with great openness by Michael Bachofer, the exhibition addresses a wide audience, reflecting the diversity of the participants themselves. Methods range from silver gelatin to alternative photographic processes and hybrid formats.
